Night, Mother

This is an excerpt from the play ‘night, Mother’ by American playwright Marsha Norman. The play won the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play. The space is about a daughter, Jessie, and her mother, Thelma.

Jana Ramos Violante devised this adaptation for the Fugard Theatres Performers Series. Jana also directed the vocal performances. Emily Child performed on screen as well as the voice of Jessie, and Fiona Ramsey voiced the mother, Thelma.
