Dinner With The 42’s
In a dystopian future where humanity faces extinction, total strangers Eva and Burn are forced together in a Human Breeding Facility with a single directive: conceive a child or become food for the stronger. With survival on the line, they attempt to recreate the lost ritual of a ‘first date’, navigating awkward intimacy, existential dread, and the absurdity of human connection in a world where time is running out.
Written by acclaimed playwright Scott Sparrow (Performers Travel Guide, Isabella) and directed by Greg Karvellas (Master Harold and the Boys, Shakespeare in Love, The Father), Dinner With The 42’s is a darkly comedic, razor-sharp exploration of survival, morality, and what it means to be human. The production features a powerhouse cast, including Emily Child (The Hucksters, The Pervert Laura, The Road to Mecca), Nicholas Pauling (Amadeus, Champ, A Steady Rain, The Hucksters), and Brent Palmer (A Steady Rain, The Father, The Room).
The world of Dinner With The 42’s is brought to life through award-winning design and lighting by Niall Griffin (The Outlaw Muckridge, The Line, Your Song), whose immersive visual storytelling intensifies the tension between absurdity and horror in this gripping theatrical experience.
